Stena Drilling has announced the creation of a new start-up venture, aimed at providing fully managed well construction and decommissioning. Stena Wells will provide a “completed cohesive package” of services spanning well construction and decommissioning using Stena Drilling’s existing offshore fleet, the company said. Read more here

An oil rig which was blocked from leaving the Cromarty Firth in 2018 has been sold to a Turkish recycling firm for scrapping The Ocean Vanguard, now simply known as “Van”, has been sold to Turkey’s Rota Shipping and is now leaving the Firth after around eight years in the region. Read more here
