John Lawrie, the metal recycling and decommissioning experts, is an industrial metals reuse, repurpose and recycling specialist. We create value by supporting our clients work towards net zero through a circular economy approach. We are the largest and leading metal recycler and exporter of processed scrap metal in the North and North-east of Scotland, with strategically located SEPA licensed waste treatment facilities close to quaysides and offering a full range of services.

We recycle scrap metal, handling over 200,000 tonnes each year. We have been decommissioning for nearly 30 years, dismantling at quayside and efficiently processing oilfield structures to maximise reuse and recycling of materials. From our UK bases, we are pushing the boundaries to reimagine how metals can deliver new value whilst helping to reduce the impact on the planet.

HCS Aberdeen are specialists in the provsion of manpower and equipment for the decommissioning of subsea wells and specifically subsea XTs as well as providing services to support the decommissioning of topside assets.

Heerema Marine Contractors (HMC) brings more than 50 years of specialized skills to the offshore oil and gas industry. HMC transports, installs, and removes all types of offshore facilities, including fixed and floating structures in shallow, deep, and ultra-deep waters. Heerema operates its own fleet of formidable heavy lift vessels as well as a large number of transportation barges and tugs. This provides us with access to the most suitable assets for complex offshore removal operations in the harshest of environments. The introduction of SSCV Sleipnir in 2019 will expand the offshore capabilities that we can draw on to deliver cost effective and smooth removal operations.
