Peter Marioni, Chief Operating Officer, Augean

Peter Marioni was appointed Chief Operating Officer (COO) for Augean North Sea Services in February 2023. Prior to this, Peter held the positions of Head of Operations, Offshore Manager and Offshore Supervisor, having started with the company in 2006 as a trainee Drilling Waste Management Operator.

Over this period, Peter has evolved alongside the industry, transitioning from drilling into P&A while moving through management roles and ultimately into senior leadership as the UKCS entered a significant decommissioning phase. Peter is keen to contribute practical insight and experience through an industry body, helping others across the supply chain navigate the challenges facing the sector.

Peter’s experience spans the drilling, P&A and subsea removal phases of oilfield development and decommissioning, as well as several FPSO decontamination projects. This has provided a practical perspective on decommissioning, an area where Peter believes operational realities can sometimes be overlooked in favour of high-level discussions. As a result, Peter strongly advocates for more practical and efficient decommissioning solutions, challenging approaches that treat assets as though they are being returned to service rather than permanently retired.

A key motivation for joining the Decom Mission Board is to share lessons learned and promote the benefits of a practical approach to decommissioning. Since being appointed COO, Peter has championed challenging the status quo, encouraging a different perspective on decommissioning by viewing it as an opportunity to recover valuable material resources. This includes identifying opportunities for re-use and value recovery from waste, rather than relying solely on traditional recycling routes.

Peter is passionate about moving decommissioning further up the waste hierarchy while supporting both local and national circular economies, ensuring that work and recovered resources remain within the UK wherever possible. Through this approach, Peter believes efficiencies can be achieved for both operators and the wider supply chain.

Peter is also committed to transferring lessons learned from the oil and gas industry to other sectors as they begin their own decommissioning journeys.

In summary, Peter brings hands-on experience of leading complex teams to deliver projects safely and compliantly, combined with a deep understanding of decommissioning and waste management.

Neil Rogerson, Vice President, Hunting Subsea Technologies

Neil Rogerson is seeking election to the Decom Mission Board to contribute the experience gained over more than 35 years in the offshore energy industry and to support the continued development of the decommissioning sector. Neil’s career has spanned engineering, project delivery, field development and executive leadership roles across a broad range of offshore projects and businesses. Today, Neil leads Hunting Subsea Technologies, with responsibility for strategy, performance and growth within a subsea technology business.

Throughout a distinguished career, Neil has worked across fixed and floating facilities, subsea developments, FPSOs and offshore operations in both UK and international markets. Neil has led major developments including the Forties Satellite Platform, the Callater field development and the Olowi project in Gabon, working closely with operators, contractors, regulators and supply chain partners to deliver complex projects safely and efficiently.

More recently, Neil’s focus has been on business leadership and transformation. Following the acquisition of Enpro Subsea by Hunting PLC, Neil led the integration of the business into a PLC environment, establishing governance, organisational capability and operational structures to support sustainable growth. Over that period, the business expanded significantly while continuing to invest in technology, people and service capability.

Neil believes these experiences provide a valuable perspective on the challenges facing the decommissioning sector. Successful decommissioning requires effective collaboration between operators, contractors and technology providers, coupled with a continued focus on innovation, cost efficiency, safety and environmental performance.

If elected, Neil would aim to support Decom Mission by helping strengthen engagement across the industry, encouraging the sharing of practical experience and lessons learned, and supporting the development of technologies and capabilities that improve project delivery and long-term industry competitiveness. Neil is also keen to see continued investment in developing future talent and leadership within the sector.

Neil’s experience combines major project delivery, business leadership, technology development and organisational change. Neil would bring a balanced operator, contractor and supply-chain perspective to the Board, together with a practical and collaborative approach.

Cameron Thorp, Engineering Manager, Subsea Pressure Controls

Cameron Thorp is Engineering Manager at Subsea Pressure Controls, an Aberdeen-based SME specialising in the design, preparation, testing and delivery of subsea equipment for well abandonment, recovery and decommissioning projects. Through this role, he works closely with operators, contractors and project teams, gaining first-hand experience of the technical, operational and commercial challenges associated with delivering decommissioning projects safely, efficiently and cost-effectively. His position provides a strong understanding of the practical realities facing the supply chain and the critical role specialist contractors play in successful project delivery.

Working within an SME has given Cameron a valuable perspective on both the challenges and opportunities facing smaller businesses operating in the decommissioning sector. He understands the pressures of managing fluctuating workloads, limited resources and demanding project schedules while maintaining high standards of safety, quality and technical compliance. At the same time, he recognises the ability of SMEs to drive innovation, respond quickly to client requirements, and develop practical solutions to complex engineering challenges. He is passionate about ensuring smaller and specialist companies continue to have a strong voice within the industry, and are recognised for the value they bring to the decommissioning market.

In 2026, Cameron was recognised with the Emerging Professional in Decommissioning award at Decom Week, reflecting his growing contribution to the sector and commitment to its future development. As someone in the earlier stages of his career, he would bring a fresh, next-generation perspective to the Board, with a strong interest in how the industry attracts, develops, and retains the people who will deliver decommissioning work in the years ahead. If elected, he would bring a practical, delivery-focused and forward-looking voice, championing innovation, skills development, supply chain visibility and the interests of SMEs, specialist contractors and emerging professionals, while supporting Decom Mission’s continued role as an independent voice for the sector.

Craig Davis, Commercial Director Oil & Gas, GEOxyz

GEOxyz is a relatively new member of Decom Mission, but its commitment to the decommissioning sector has continued to grow. Following participation in May’s Decom Week event, the company has reinforced its ambition to expand and strengthen its decommissioning services and capabilities. GEOxyz has contributed to a number of decommissioning projects across both the oil and gas and offshore renewables sectors, with further opportunities in the pipeline, including BP’s Foinaven project.

Craig Davis, representing one of Europe’s largest survey and inspection companies, would bring a distinct perspective to Board discussions, drawing on GEOxyz’s experience across multiple energy sectors. He believes that maintaining a strong mix of organisations from across the supply chain, including Tier 2, Tier 3 and Tier 4 companies, is essential to ensuring a broad, balanced and inclusive vision for the future of decommissioning, particularly as the sector enters an exciting new phase across the North East Atlantic region.

Craig brings more than three decades of experience in the maritime and energy sectors, spanning both offshore and onshore environments, with a strong blend of technical and commercial expertise. Craig currently sits as Commercial Director Oil & Gas for GEOxyz as well as Area Director UK (interim).

In support of this application, GEOxyz’s executive leadership team has approved Craig’s candidacy and committed company resources to support the role should he be successful in securing a position on the Board.

Jacco Huipen, Offshore Assets & Decommissioning Consultant, Perses

Jacco Huipen has worked across the offshore energy industry throughout his career, with decommissioning forming an increasingly significant part of that work in recent years. Experience includes operator-side project delivery, offshore and subsea decommissioning, technical assurance, commercial and contractual activities, and the development of decommissioning tenders and supply-chain strategies across the UK, the Netherlands and Norway.

This experience has provided Jacco with a broad perspective on decommissioning, encompassing the roles of operator, contractor and consultant, and covering the full project lifecycle from early planning and commercial strategy through to offshore execution and onshore disposal. In addition, work across offshore wind, nuclear and wider energy infrastructure offers valuable insight into how the energy sector is evolving and where experience and capabilities can be shared across industries.

Jacco would welcome the opportunity to serve on the Decom Mission Board and bring practical project and commercial experience to the role. Decom Mission plays an important role in bringing together operators, contractors, the supply chain and other stakeholders, while providing an independent industry voice as the decommissioning market continues to develop.

Jacco is particularly keen to contribute to ensuring that the organisation remains relevant to its members, reflects the practical challenges facing projects and the supply chain, and encourages greater collaboration across the sector.

Keith Will, Global Offshore-Late Life Asset Management and Decommissioning, ABS

Keith Will has more than 15 years’ experience in decommissioning, covering fixed and floating oil and gas production assets across the North Sea and global markets. In recent years, this expertise has expanded to include both onshore and offshore renewable energy projects which includes late asset management/decommissioning.

A strong advocate for safe, responsible and sustainable operations, Keith is committed to protecting people and the environment while maximising opportunities for asset repurposing and recycling wherever possible. Through extensive international experience, Keith has developed a strong global network and collaborative relationships with government agencies, regulators and key industry stakeholders.

Keith is passionate about supporting the Board, members and the wider industry by promoting continued growth, encouraging the adoption of new technologies and fostering deeper collaboration across the UK Continental Shelf and international markets. Keith is also committed to attracting new entrants to the sector, both organisations and individuals, helping to ensure a strong and sustainable future for the industry.

Drawing on a global network and extensive industry connections, Keith would support Decom Mission through introductions, networking opportunities, industry engagement and international representation, acting as a focal point for collaboration and sharing valuable insights and updates with the wider membership.

Stuart Black, Group Managing Director, EODEX

Stuart Black is standing for election because of a strong belief in what Decom Mission is seeking to achieve and the recognition that the decommissioning sector needs an organisation with its purpose and ambition.

Stuart‘s career has spanned multiple areas of the energy sector, including midstream, upstream, decommissioning and energy services, as well as renewables and low carbon. Direct exposure to these subsectors has seen Stuart work with or beside global Tier 1 contractors, SMEs and early-stage technology companies. In his professional life, Stuart has held responsibility for mergers and acquisitions, strategic development, sales & business development, corporate strategy, value proposition development, and market positioning, all underpinned by a collaborative, relationship-focused approach.

A long-standing interest in the decommissioning sector, combined with hands on experience working with decommissioning teams, and assessing the market as a key growth area, has provided Stuart with first-hand insight into both the opportunities and challenges facing the sector. In current and previous roles, Stuart has provided strategic oversight, evaluated priorities and market shifts, and helped shape business direction to maintain strategic relevance and product-market fit. This experience continues to be particularly relevant as EODEX expands its focus to the decommissioning sector.

Stuart believes the sector presents significant opportunities for industry stakeholders, local communities, and the workforce. By bringing a broad range of experience and perspectives to the Board, Stuart hopes to support Decom Mission’s objectives and contribute positively to its future direction. Stuart is confident in working collaboratively and believes this diverse background would provide a valuable and different perspective to Board discussions.

Alan Campbell, Independent Decommissioning Consultant

Alan Campbell brings more than 35 years of offshore and onshore energy industry experience, with much of the last 15 years focused on decommissioning leadership, strategy and delivery. Alan would welcome the opportunity to contribute to the future direction of Decom Mission as a member of the Board of Directors.

Alan has supported Decom Mission since its days as Decom North Sea and has remained an active supporter through regular attendance at conferences and events, including as a conference speaker. This involvement has provided a strong appreciation of the role Decom Mission plays in connecting operators, the supply chain, regulators and other stakeholders across the sector.

Alan’s career has provided extensive operator-side experience. During time with TAQA, Alan established and led the company’s decommissioning team and played a key role in developing portfolio decommissioning strategies. Across a distinguished career, Alan has held central roles in the planning, governance and portfolio management of 14 offshore asset decommissioning programmes covering platform, subsea, well decommissioning and EPRD activities.

This work included contributing to the development and award of the UK’s largest and most complex EPRD contract, as well as the UK’s largest subsea P&A contract at the time of award. Responsibilities have included governance, regulatory engagement, joint venture management, contracting, risk management and support for portfolio strategy development.

More recently, as an independent consultant, Alan has supported operators in strengthening decommissioning strategy, organisational capability, governance, risk management and delivery assurance.

Throughout a long career, Alan has worked closely with regulators, operators, contractors and industry bodies. Experience across strategy development, governance, regulatory engagement, contracting and programme delivery provides both practical operator expertise and a strong understanding of the wider challenges facing the decommissioning industry.

Alan remains passionate about decommissioning and its importance to the future of the energy industry. While most experience has been gained on the operator side, Alan has collaborated extensively with contractors, service companies and the wider supply chain, recognising the vital role they play in delivering successful outcomes. Alan believes Decom Mission plays a crucial role in fostering these relationships and helping industry participants better understand one another’s challenges and opportunities.

A significant part of Alan’s career has involved establishing and leading decommissioning capability within an operator environment, creating the structures, processes and governance required to manage complex multi-asset programmes and long-term decommissioning liabilities.

Drawing on this experience, Alan believes valuable contributions can be made to Decom Mission and its members. In particular, Alan is keen to help ensure that Decom Mission remains an effective voice for the sector, supporting collaboration, sharing best practice and helping members realise future opportunities across oil and gas, nuclear and renewable energy.

If elected, Alan would bring an experienced operator perspective, an understanding of the challenges facing both operators and the supply chain, and a commitment to supporting the continued success of Decom Mission and its members.

Kris Etridge, EMEA Decommissioning, Decontamination and Demolition Lead, ERM

Kris Etridge is EMEA DDD Lead for ERM, with responsibility for the commercial, safety, technical and operational delivery of decommissioning and demolition projects across the region. His role involves close collaboration with clients, contractors, technical specialists and project teams across complex industrial projects including oil and gas.

Prior to joining ERM, Kris worked with organisations including Erith and Liberty, gaining practical experience on major industrial and decommissioning projects at locations including Sellafield, Nigg Oil Terminal and the Northern Producer.

Kris is passionate about contributing to the future growth and improvement of the decommissioning sector and sees Decom Mission as playing an important role in bringing industry stakeholders together and promoting best practice, whilst looking to the next generation of talent and key innovations

If elected, Kris would bring practical project delivery expertise, a collaborative approach and a genuine commitment to strengthening the decommissioning industry for future generations.

Kelly Smith, Group Head of Environmental and Decommissioning, ASCO

Kelly Smith is Group Head of Environmental and Decommissioning at ASCO and has spent approximately 15 years working across the energy sector. A Chartered Resource and Waste Manager and Member of the Chartered Institution of Wastes Management, she has progressed from university placement student to executive leadership roles.

Her responsibilities include strategic planning, operational delivery, business development, organisational leadership and HSSEQ. Kelly works closely with a wide range of stakeholders, from operational teams and regulators to board-level decision makers and international partners.

She has led environmental and decommissioning delivery on a range of North Sea projects and supported the development of decommissioning opportunities in international markets including Qatar and Australia.

If elected, Kelly would bring a practical delivery perspective, specialist environmental expertise and a strong commitment to championing both the supply chain and the wider decommissioning sector.

Kieran Morton, Business Development Manager, Port of Aberdeen

Kieran Morton brings more than 20 years of experience across the decommissioning and energy sectors, with a career spanning operational delivery, project management and strategic leadership. Through his role at Port of Aberdeen, he supports multiple decommissioning projects each year and has developed extensive knowledge of the infrastructure and logistics required to support successful project execution.

Alongside his industry experience, Kieran has developed strong governance credentials and serves as a Board Member of NESTRANS, the North East Scotland Transport Partnership. He is a recognised industry ambassador and frequently speaks at industry conferences and events.
His extensive network across operators, drilling contractors and supply chain organisations provides valuable insight into the challenges and opportunities facing the sector.

If elected, Kieran would bring operational expertise, board-level experience and a collaborative approach, helping to ensure Decom Mission continues to provide effective leadership and support for its members.

Ross Provan, Head of Decommissioning Solutions, Elemental Energies

Ross Provan has built his career around late-life asset management and decommissioning, working across the global energy sector in both operator and supply chain environments. His experience spans the full asset lifecycle, from early planning and strategy development through to execution and project delivery, giving him a broad understanding of the technical, commercial, financial and governance challenges facing the industry.

In his current role, Ross has established and grown a dedicated decommissioning business, delivering projects across the full decommissioning work breakdown structure while establishing and extensive network of strategic supply chain partnerships across industry. He is also playing a key role in developing collaborative delivery models that bring together complementary capabilities, strengthen delivery capacity and address future market challenges.
Ross has also gained valuable insight into debt and equity markets and M&A activity, broadening his understanding of how investment and commercial structures influence the sector. His work across the UK, Europe, West Africa, The Americas, APAC, Australia and New Zealand have given him a strong international perspective.

If elected, Ross would bring strategic insight grounded in practical delivery experience, with a strong commitment to collaboration, innovation and building a resilient decommissioning supply chain that can support future industry demand.

Michael O’Neill, Head of Business Development, Decom Engineering

Since entering the decommissioning sector in 2022, Michael O’Neill has moved quickly into a leadership role, bringing with him a successful commercial career from outside the energy industry. That outside perspective has shaped his approach from day one, and in the years since, he has built his career entirely within decommissioning, developing a genuine passion for the industry’s long-term growth.

At Decom Engineering, Michael leads on international growth and market development. He has played a key role in driving expansion into North and South America and supporting business development across APAC, while maintaining a strong focus on North Sea activity throughout. This work has given him direct exposure to many of the world’s leading decommissioning regions and a broad view of how the sector is evolving globally.

If elected to the Decom Mission board, Michael would bring an international outlook, an entrepreneurial mindset, and a strong commitment to ensuring emerging businesses and technology providers are well represented within the organisation.

Steve Andrew, Technical and Business Development Director, RVA Group

Steve Andrew has more than 45 years’ experience in demolition, decommissioning and industrial asset closure across sectors including chemicals, energy, infrastructure and nuclear. Steve is Technical Development and Business Director at RVA Group and has held senior roles with organisations including ABB, ERM and Cleveland Dismantling.

A strong advocate for safety, collaboration and knowledge sharing, Steve has worked throughout a distinguished career to help organisations deliver safe and successful decommissioning projects. As a current Decom Mission Board member and Vice Chair of the Step Change in Safety/Decom Mission Decommissioning Network, Steve has promoted cross-industry learning, innovation and the sharing of best practice.

Steve regularly chairs industry events, speaks at national and international conferences and mentors professionals across a range of sectors. Steve has received ten RoSPA Gold Awards on a single project and is a Fellow of the Institute of Demolition Engineers.

If re-elected, Steve will continue to support collaboration, knowledge sharing and innovation across the decommissioning community, helping members learn from one another and address future industry challenges.

Calum Crighton, Legal Director, Brodies LLP

Having served on the Decom Mission Board for the past three years, Calum Crighton would be delighted to continue supporting the organisation as a Director.

Throughout Calum’s legal career, he has worked extensively with companies across the offshore energy supply chain, advising on commercial contracts, corporate transactions and strategic matters affecting businesses operating in the decommissioning and wider energy sectors. This has given Calum a strong understanding of the commercial challenges and opportunities facing members, as well as the importance of collaboration in developing a thriving decommissioning industry.

Calum was originally welcomed onto the Board to strengthen its governance and support the continued development of the organisation. Since then, Calum has sought to make a meaningful contribution beyond professional expertise, helping to ensure that Decom Mission has the governance, strategic focus and decision-making processes needed to support its long-term success.
It has been a privilege for Calum to work alongside fellow Directors, successive Chairs and the CEO during this period. Shortly after joining the Board, Calum was honoured to be elected by fellow Directors as Vice Chair, reflecting the confidence placed in Calum’s contribution and leadership.
While not an engineer or project delivery specialist, Calum believes that the strength of the Board comes from bringing together individuals with different backgrounds and perspectives. Calum’s contribution is to complement that technical expertise with experience in governance, strategy, commercial matters and corporate decision-making. Calum is comfortable challenging constructively, asking the right questions and helping ensure the Board remains focused on delivering value for members.

Looking ahead, Calum remains passionate about supporting Decom Mission as it continues to champion collaboration, innovation and opportunity across the decommissioning and wider energy sectors. Lucinda Craig, Business Development Manager, Deepsea Technologies UK

Throughout her career in the energy sector, Lucinda Craig has been passionate about fostering industry collaboration, driving innovation, and promoting sustainable approaches that maximise value from existing assets. A strong advocate for the reuse, repurposing, refurbishment, and re-engineering of equipment, she believes that extending asset life through innovative engineering solutions delivers both commercial and environmental benefits.

As Business Development Manager for Deepsea Technologies UK, Lucinda works closely with operators, contractors, and supply chain partners to identify opportunities where engineering expertise and collaboration can unlock additional value from existing infrastructure. This has given her a broad understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing the decommissioning, late-life asset, and energy transition sectors, both in the UK and internationally.

Lucinda is passionate about championing the capabilities of the UK supply chain and creating opportunities for businesses to collaborate, innovate, and support the future needs of the global energy market. She is also a strong advocate of circular economy principles, promoting the reuse, refurbishment, repurposing, and life extension of equipment to reduce waste, maximise existing investments, and deliver more sustainable outcomes across the energy sector. She firmly believes that industry-wide collaboration is essential to delivering innovative solutions that support responsible decommissioning while maximising the value of existing energy assets.

With extensive experience in business development, stakeholder engagement, strategic planning, and industry collaboration, Lucinda would bring a commercially focused and collaborative perspective to the Decom Mission Board, supporting its continued growth and positive impact across the sector.

Stephen Taylor, Managing Director, Aquaterra Energy

As Managing Director of AquaTerra Group, Stephen Taylor brings strong leadership, strategic thinking, commercial awareness and practical operational experience from a company actively involved in North Sea decommissioning. His perspective is relevant, practical and member focused as the sector continues to evolve.

Throughout a successful career, Stephen has led teams in complex, safety critical and commercially demanding environments. Having progressed through senior technical and engineering roles before becoming Managing Director, Stephen combines strategic leadership with hands-on project delivery experience across offshore engineering, construction, project management and operational support.

Through AquaTerra’s recent UKCS activity, Stephen has been involved in several notable topside preparation and removal programmes including Heather Alpha, Cormorant Alpha, East Brae and Brae Alpha. This experience has provided direct insight into project risk, client expectations and the contribution specialist service companies make to complex late-life asset and decommissioning programmes.

Stephen is well placed to represent the specialist supply chain. His experience of the challenges facing member companies including safety, cost control, skills availability, technical capability and environmental responsibility, would bring a practical and informed perspective to Board discussions. His strong industry network across operators, heavy lift contractors and the wider supply chain would further support Decom Mission’s strategic objectives.

With experience leading multidisciplinary teams, managing stakeholders and supporting technically complex projects, Stephen would make a valuable contribution to discussions on safety, innovation, skills development and strategic direction.

Stephen is seeking a Board position to support greater collaboration between operators, specialist suppliers and industry bodies. Stephen is committed to helping Decom Mission deliver practical, member-focused priorities that promote safe, innovative and sustainable decommissioning across the oil and gas, nuclear and renewables sectors.

Stephen Taylor would be a strong addition to the Decom Mission Board, bringing industry knowledge, practical insight and leadership experience that will help strengthen member engagement and support Decom Mission’s role as an independent voice for decommissioning.

Findlay Anderson, Partner and Head of Corporate, Gilson Gray

Findlay Anderson brings extensive experience from almost 25 years working for operators and service companies across the industry, including 12 years as General Counsel overseeing legal support for operations across 50 countries.
Findlay advises clients on corporate, commercial and regulatory matters, acting for operators and service companies on a variety of decommissioning scopes with a strong understanding of the legal, commercial and governance considerations that underpin successful decommissioning programmes.

Alongside his professional experience, Findlay has served as both member and chair of Offshore Energies UK committees, providing valuable experience in stakeholder engagement, industry collaboration and consensus building.
He is keen to support the continued development of Decom Mission and recognises the important role the organisation plays in bringing together the decommissioning community.

If elected, Findlay would bring strong governance credentials, commercial insight and a commitment to supporting Decom Mission’s role as an effective and independent voice for the industry.

John Allan, UK Upstream Decommissioning and Restoration, Shell UK

Graduating from Aberdeen University with a Degree in Law and Economics, Jaibo has worked in various industries, including Financial Services, before starting a career in the Energy Sector nearly 25 years ago. Jaibo has worked in Oil & Gas Decommissioning since starting his career in the industry and has been engaged with Decom Mission (and previously Decom North Sea) as a member of the Steering Committee and was previously elected to the Leadership Group, as well as contributing to a variety of work groups.
Jaibo has worked for several specialist contractors in the Environmental Services, Hazardous Waste Management, NORM Waste Management, and Industrial Services sectors. He has developed a broad knowledge of these key service areas relating to Decommissioning activities and how the interfaces and regulations apply in each area, as well as managing projects on occasion, and being contract holder for one of the largest onshore O&G Decom projects undertaken in the UK.

He has also worked in the Ports industry for 3 years, which gives an additional layer of understanding of how offshore activities interact with the onshore supply chain as well as some of the additional challenges the Decommissioning industry is likely to face in the future as the Offshore Renewables sector picks up pace.

Starting his career in sales, Jaibo has also worked in Business Development, Account Management, Contracts, Bids and Tenders, and Commercial Management providing additional layers of understanding of the various challenges faced by the Supply Chain in each of these areas and has long been an advocate of improved engagement in order to provide better opportunities for technical and commercial innovation in the way Decommissioning tenders and contracts are approached.

As a strong, sometimes outspoken communicator, he is always keen to contribute to discussions and workgroups as well as standing up for industry interests where he can.

Jaibo joined Sureclean Group in October 2024 as Head of Commercials but also with a focus on waste reduction – which includes both physical waste as well as operational wastage – and cost reduction, as well as sustainability and the circular economy.

Sureclean are now among the market leaders in our activity sectors, which includes a strong focus on both offshore and onshore decommissioning related services. This market presence further enhances Jaibo’s knowledge and visibility within this sector while also preparing a strong background in delivery which can enhance Decom Mission’s engagement with decommissioning activities in other energy sectors, particularly Nuclear and Offshore Renewables, while he is also currently fully engaged in several active Decommissioning contracts and is therefore ideally placed to represent the wider supply chain on the Decom Mission board.

John Allan, UK Upstream Decommissioning and Restoration, Shell UK

John Allan is Decommissioning and Restoration Manager at Shell UK, where he leads the development and delivery of decommissioning strategies for a portfolio of complex offshore assets. With more than 30 years’ experience across the UK Continental Shelf and international markets, he has played a key role in delivering major decommissioning projects, combining technical expertise with a strong focus on safety, value and regulatory compliance.

Throughout his career, John has worked closely with operators, supply chain partners and regulators to advance best practice in decommissioning planning and execution. His extensive industry knowledge, collaborative approach and commitment to continuous improvement have helped shape successful outcomes across a range of high-profile projects.

As a current Board Director, John brings strategic insight, practical industry experience and a clear understanding of the opportunities and challenges facing the decommissioning sector. He is committed to supporting Decom Mission’s role in fostering collaboration, sharing knowledge and helping members realise the full value of the energy transition.

Stuart Miller | NDA Group Director for Performance Improvement

Stuart leads group performance improvement for the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority, focusing on strengthening collaboration in decommissioning across sectors. He brings over 25 years of experience in the UK nuclear industry and major infrastructure delivery, currently serving on the ICE’s Infrastructure Client Group Management Board. Throughout his career, Stuart has built deep connections with industry partners, government bodies, and the decommissioning community.

As Programme Director for the NDA’s Group Integrated Decommissioning Programme, Stuart has developed a deep understanding of the challenges facing decommissioning particularly around lifecycle planning, asset end‑of‑life strategy, safety, and cost-effective, environmentally responsible dismantling. A committed advocate for learning and knowledge sharing, Stuart champions better capture and application of insight across the energy sector. As a Board member of Decom Mission, he brings a clear belief that the future of decommissioning relies on collective innovation, shared capability, and aligned missions to deliver national benefit.

Will Black | Decommissioning Project Manager at Enquest

Will Black is a Chartered Project Professional with more than 23 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, including 15 years delivering major capital projects. With over a decade of project management leadership, Will transitioned his expertise into the decommissioning sector in 2014, where he has since developed a deep specialism in end‑of‑life asset strategy and execution.

Will is part of the Decommissioning Directorate at EnQuest, where he oversees the responsible retirement of mature offshore assets. His work focuses on ensuring decommissioning is carried out safely, efficiently, and with strong environmental stewardship — supporting both regulatory expectations and industry best practice.

A committed advocate for a sustainable and resilient supply chain, Will actively promotes collaboration, innovation, and long‑term capability development across the sector. He is passionate about creating the conditions in which suppliers can grow, invest and deliver high‑quality, environmentally responsible decommissioning solutions for the future.

Originally expecting decommissioning to be a short‑term assignment before returning to capital projects, Will quickly discovered a passion for the complexity and scale of the challenge. The strategic, technical, and environmental demands of decommissioning have kept him firmly committed to advancing the discipline and driving continuous improvement across the industry.

As a member of the Decom Mission Board of Directors, Will brings extensive project leadership experience, a collaborative mindset, and a strong commitment to shaping the future of decommissioning in the UK and beyond.
