The Boiler House was the single largest structure on site at 260m long x 47m wide x 64m tall, it housed four boilers which each fed a 500MW Turbine. This event is another milestone in the country’s transition from fossil fuels towards greener energy sources, with West Burton being home to STEP Fusion, the U.K.’s programme to build a prototype fusion energy plant and create a U.K.-led fusion industry.
