Decom Mission congratulates RVA Group’s Steve Andrew on his appointment as Vice President of the Institute of Demolition Engineers (IDE), while celebrating industry recognition for RVA Group founder Richard Vann at the Institute’s 50th Anniversary celebrations.

The milestone event marked a proud occasion for RVA Group, a longstanding Decom Mission member organisation, with both senior leaders recognised for their significant contributions to the demolition and decommissioning sectors.

Richard Vann, Honorary Fellow and Past President of the IDE, received an award in recognition of his longstanding contribution to the global demolition industry and 38 years of support to the Institute.

The celebrations also saw Steve Andrew, RVA Group’s Business Development Director and a serving Director on the Decom Mission Board, appointed as Vice President of the IDE.

Steve brings more than 45 years of experience across demolition, decommissioning and industrial asset closure, with a career spanning the energy, chemicals, infrastructure and nuclear sectors. Alongside his role at RVA Group, he is an active advocate for collaboration, knowledge sharing and continuous improvement across the decommissioning community. He currently serves on the Decom Mission Board and plays a leading role within the Safety in Decom Network.
