Call for abstracts

We are looking for abstracts and case studies across a range of different themes, including but not limited to:

  • Uptick, what uptick?
    Exploring strategies to manage rising workloads and constrained capacity, particularly in offshore oil & gas. Focus on scaling effectively if the anticipated uptick becomes reality.
  • Innovation in Practice
    Addressing barriers to adopting new technologies and practices, reducing risk aversion, and adapting existing methods for practical implementation.
  • Workforce Reskilling and Diversification
    Preparing talent for cross-sector roles across oil & gas, nuclear, and renewables.
  • End-of-Life Planning for Renewables
    Tackling emerging liabilities and planning for decommissioning in the renewables sector.
  • Scotland’s Strategic Role
    Driving cross-sector collaboration and policy alignment to strengthen the region’s leadership in decommissioning.
  • Attracting and Developing the Next Generation
    Building pathways for new talent and ensuring long-term sustainability of the workforce.

Submissions must be completed by Monday 2nd March 2026. These will then be reviewed, with selected speakers contacted in due course.
