North Sea operators EnQuest (LON:ENQ) and Repsol Sinopec Resources UK have set out a series of upcoming decom contracts for nearly 200 oil and gas wells. A decommissioned North Sea platform was finally brought ashore in Weston-super-Mare on Wednesday, ready to begin a new lease of life as the “SEE Monster” art installation. New powers announced for NSTA, including recognition of CCUS as a waste management activity
Development pledges and new policing powers on CCUS, hydrogen and decommissioning have been unveiled in the UK Energy Security Bill, marking the “biggest reform” of its kind in a decade. Decom Engineering has secured further contracts across the globe after its chopsaw tool successfully cut its teeth during trials at the National Hyperbaric Centre in Aberdeen.
